Towards the beginning of the year, I decided to stop sitting on my dreams and start taking some massive action. I’ve always wanted to start a business but after a few failed attempts I decided to park the entrepreneurial brain cells and focus on other priorities.
Favourably for me, the festive period came with plenty of free time for me to dig deep and think about what I really wanted for my future. I know that I wanted the ability to give more, travel more and be financially free. I also new deep down that If I keep doing what I’m currently doing these desires will never materialise.
After much thought, I resolved not to live into my golden years full of regret because I never started something or was too scared to keep trying. It was time to make my dreams come true and quitting was no longer an option. If I had to put it words on how I managed to break through this hurdle, I would explain it in four key points.
Figuring out my current position was easy. I took stock of my talents, skills and work experience and thought of way that I could use them to add value to others. I then decided that it was now or never, I was finally going to start a Virtual Assistant business.
Mapping out the way forward
My earlier failed attempts at launching an enterprise were simply because I didn’t know how to apply what I was learning. I'll admit that I've found business plans quite boring and laborious to complete at times. I also gave up too easily when things got tough.
If the conventional method wasn’t working for me then I needed to find another way. I’m a very visual learner and so I decided to write my plan using Trello. Trello is an organisational tool composed of boards lists and cards that enable you to organise and prioritise projects in a fun way. Using this tool made the whole process visually exciting and a much more fun exercise to do
Starting a business is one of the greatest ways to build assets and create wealth. It also enables us to create a legacy that we can pass down to our loved ones and gives us the satisfaction of being independent as we use our personal skills and gifts to help others move forward.

Taking Massive Action
I’ve heard Tony Robbins say that in order to see change you need to take massive action. The solution to my problem was simple, I needed to invest in a course. This was something that could give me the step by step guidance on how to set up each component of the business.
Taking a course provided me with the help i needed to answer questions like what tools do I needed to start up, where and how to find clients and what niches I could specialise in. It cost me a considerable amount of money, but every penny was worth it. I was able to map out in my business strategy for what needed to happen going forward. And It only took me 30 days to launch.
Committing to life-long learning
Everybody gets stuck from time to time but we don't have to stay that there. We can access the knowledge we need in different ways. We grow by seeking counsel, reading books, listening to podcasts, watching tutorials, attending seminars or even taking courses.
There is so much information available to us and so many options to help us get started. Training and upskilling can mean the difference between the success or failure of our goals and aspirations. What venture are you thinking of starting today? What information do you need to help you get it moving?
