A Call To Action (CTA) is a marketing term used to describe a word or a group of comments that encourage an immediate response or immediate sale.

Below are a few examples of the types of CTAs you might use in social media posts, blog posts or email marketing:
1. Sign up.
With this type of CTA, the audience might be invited to sign up for a free trial, an online course, a future event, or even a software product. It all depends on the CTAs context on an ad or website.
2. Subscribe.
This CTA doesn't commit a person to purchase what you're selling. Instead, it invites them to receive updates from your business or brand. "Subscribe" CTAs are commonly used for blogs, newsletters or YouTube channels, where the company wants to develop a loyal community.
3. Try for free.
Almost every business website has a free trial offer these days. This CTA allows people to demo a product or service before deciding if it's worth the cost to them.
4. Get started.
This CTA is often used when you want to drive a variety of behaviours. This could encourage your prospective customers to take advantage of a free trial or a virtual reality experience.
5. Learn more.
Sometimes, all you want is to give your potential customers a little more information, so they're prepared to buy something. This CTA is brilliant for that.
6. Join us.
Do you manage an online community? Does your product require collaboration with users? If so, then you might find yourself placing "join us" CTA somewhere on your website.
7. Let's start a new project together
I love that this statement features friendly and inclusive language. This gives a hint to users looking for a creative partner that you're an especially great teammate to work with.
8. Send My Freebie Now!
The whole point of this call-to-action is to direct your website visitors to a desired course of action. This is the best CTAs do so in a way that's helpful to your visitors.
9. The Countdown Clock
There's nothing like a ticking timer to make someone want to take action. After spending a short amount of time on your website homepage, greet new visitors with a pop-up CTA that has a "limited time offer". When accompanied by a timer that counts down from two minutes, this is guaranteed to encourage a prompt response.
