1. LACK OF SLEEP
When we sleep less, we get less done because we are tired and unenergised. Plan ahead of time and start winding down for bed at least 90 minutes before bedtime. Also, read a book, pray or meditate rather than spending time on your phone or watching tv.
2. IGNORING HARD TASKS
Your will power and motivation decrease throughout the day. Begin your workday with the complex and not so pleasant tasks and save the fun and easy ones for the end of the day.
3. LACK OF MOVEMENT
You'll be surprised how 10 minutes of regular walking breaks can bring clarity and generate new thoughts. Schedule a walk in between your Zoom meetings or tasks. Getting fresh air will help you, and moving around will help you be more productive.
4. CHECKING YOUR PHONE
It's been proven that checking your phone whilst working reduces your performance. If you struggle with this, keep your phone out of eyeshot and turn off all your notifications.
5. NOT DELEGATING
It's impossible to do everything yourself and do it well. Invest in growing your Team and letting you take on some of your time-consuming tasks. Delegation shows you have trust and confidence in others, and it will give you time to improve on your skills.
